I am using data from the WINDII instrument aboard the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS). People involved: Physics and Environmental and Resource Studies at Trent Univ. and York Univ. Description of project/system: The data is tropical aerosols near the tropopause in 1994 - a couple of years after the Mount Pinatubo erupted. A numerical method of inverting WINDII data (polar stratospheric and mesospheric clouds) has been used, but is not successful for altitudes under 20 km.
