Interests: I am coming to AI from philosophy and from a data processing job which had become rather boring to me. Projects/systems: For each system -- Name of project/system People involved + their discipline (e.g. computer science, meteorology) Description of project/system I hope to develop a neural-net-based weather-prediction system for my MSc. project. This system would take in local temperature, pressure and wind data and make a local short-term weather forecast. If this project is to be feasible, I shall need access to a lot of local tempreature, pressure and wind data in order to train and test the system. Ideally, I would like several readings a day taken at two or three or more sites for several years. If possible, the sites should be fairly local to where I live, i.e. Sussex, England, though this is not the most important thing. If any of you can help me obtain this kind of data or give me any leads, I would be very happy. Publications: I am new to artificial intelligence. My MPhil was called 'An Essay concerning Personal Identity'.
